Kiran Easwarachandran, LCSW, MSS, R-DMT, Integrative Psychotherapist

Kiran has practiced as an Integrative Psychotherapist for almost 20 years and believes that true holistic healing shines through when we work with the whole self — the body, the mind and the spirit. As a somatic psychotherapist, she brings into her practice a wonderful and effective mix of psychodynamic theories, strengths-based practice, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT), nature/eco-therapy, movement (including dance) therapy, expressive arts, and mindfulness work.

Kiran sees adult women and men of all ages and has worked in private and agency practice for many years with a specialized focus in trauma issues, women's health, body image, aging, relationship building, moving through transitions, domestic and sexual violence, mood disorders and expressive arts group process work. She also has an extensive background in education, diversity training, and clinical supervision. She created Bollywood Dance Fusion™, her own trademark body-mind centered therapeutic movement practice, through which she has worked with various populations including people challenged by heart disease, substance abuse, imprisonment and spinal cord injuries.

Kiran does individual, couples and group therapy and she also works as an Education Specialist in school systems all over the East Bay offering workshops on bias, bullying and social justice.

In her free time, Kiran enjoys being in the outdoors, close to the water or hiking the mountains, reading, dancing whenever she can, and playing with art. She also enjoys spending time with friends and family, preferably over tea. And she loves to travel.
