Susan Blanc, NC

Susan Blanc is an herbalist and nutrition consultant with ten years of clinical experience. She helps clients find ways of eating and living to achieve their best everyday health, as well as providing therapeutic support for both acute and chronic health conditions. She graduated from the University of California, Berkeley with highest honors, studied Herbalism for 6 years with local and national experts, and received her N.C. certification from Bauman College. Susan teaches classes at Castro Valley Adult and Career Education and the California School of Herbal Studies. She also taught nutrition at Bauman College for five years. She has served as a consultant to the California Association of Naturopathic Physicians.

Susan has also worked at the Sonoma County Herb Exchange, a grower’s coop for fresh medicinal herbs. Susan is a member of the American Botanical Council, the American Herbalists Guild and the National Association of Nutrition Professionals.

Susan also enjoys working in the corporate world, combining lunchtime wellness presentations on current “hot” health topics with hands-on food preparation demonstrations and tastings to help improve energy, focus, blood sugar regulation and healthy weight. In addition, she works with companies in the natural products industry to develop new herbal formulas for everyday wellness.

Giving full attention and care to all aspects of a person’s well-being is fundamental to the way Susan works with her clients. Her goal is to find the right blend of information, practical support and encouragement to support each unique health and life journey.

Susan enjoys hiking, keeping up with her “twenty something” children, growing medicinal herbs and developing new whole food recipes.
